What everything is
The editor mapped out, then every button pictured and named.
The editor, at a glance
Every part of the screen, numbered and named.
1 — The top bar: your way back, the menu, undo, record, preview, and share.
2 — The zoom lock: freezes the view so a stray pinch can't move it.
3 — Layer locks: lock or unlock everything on the slide at once.
4 — Your slide: the white page. Everything you add lives here.
5 — The toolbar: Photos · Text · Add (+) · Layers · Slides.
The toolbar, button by button
The five buttons you'll use most.
The bar at the bottom is home base — these five buttons are how everything gets onto your slide:
The bar at the top handles everything around your work:
My Projects
Back to your project library — work saves itself.
Menu (☰)
Settings, exports, and extras.
Undo
Take back your last change.
Record
Film your canvas while you build — a making-of video.
Preview
See your carousel full-screen, as your audience will.
Share
Export as images, a video, or a project file.
Your first carousel
Five small steps. You'll be done in five minutes.
Step 1
Create a project
Start with one tap.
A carousel is a set of pictures people swipe through, like an Instagram post with several pages. Tap Create and Krevez opens a blank first page for you — it saves itself as you work.
Step 2
Put a photo on your slide
From your library, camera, or Files.
↳ Tap the Photos button in the toolbar
Choose Photo Library and pick a picture — it lands on your slide, already selected and ready to move or resize with your fingers.
Step 3
Add your words
Type, then style.
↳ Tap the Text button, next to Photos
Type your text and tap Done. While your text is selected, the bar at the bottom offers its tools: font, size and colour, curves, and more.
Step 4
Add more slides
Page two, three, four…
↳ Tap the Slides button, right end of the toolbar
Tap + in the panel to add another slide, or tap any slide to jump to it. The dots under your slide always show where you are.
Step 5
Share it
Ready to post.
↳ Tap Share, top-right corner
Choose Images and every slide is exported, ready to post anywhere. (Video and Project File live in the same menu — see Sharing below.)
Touching things
How to move, size, lock, and zoom — the gestures behind everything.
Select, move, resize, rotate
Everything responds to your fingers.
Tap anything once to select it — a teal box with handles appears. Drag to move it (it snaps to helpful guides), pinch to resize, twist two fingers to rotate, or drag a corner handle for precise sizing.
Hold down for quick actions
Lock, duplicate, or delete anything.
↳ Press and hold any item on the slide
Press and hold any item for half a second: Lock pins it in place (hold again to unlock), Duplicate makes a copy, Delete removes it.
Zoom in and out
Get closer without losing your place.
Pinch the canvas with two fingers to zoom; drag with one finger to move around while zoomed. Double-tap to snap back to 100%. There's also an optional slider — turn it on in the ☰ menu.
Stop the view from moving
The little padlock, top-left.
↳ The padlock under the top bar, left side
Tap the padlock to freeze the canvas zoom — useful when you're working close up and don't want a stray pinch to move your view. Tap again to unlock.
Lock everything in place
So nothing shifts by accident.
↳ The two locks on the right edge of the canvas
The top lock freezes every item on the slide; the open lock below releases them all. Locked items can't be moved or resized until you unlock them.
Layers — what's on top of what
Your slide is a stack.
↳ Tap the Layers button in the toolbar
Everything on a slide sits in a stack, like sheets of paper — Layers shows that stack. Drag a card to change what's in front, tap the lock badge to pin something, or long-press for more.
The + button
Templates, stickers, shapes, chats — everything you can put on a slide.
The Add panel
One grid with everything addable.
↳ Tap Add (+) in the middle of the toolbar
Tap + and pick a tile: ready-made designs, stickers, frames, layouts, shapes, text boxes, backgrounds, and drawing. You can even drag the tiles into your own order.
Templates — start from a design
Photo frames, papers, tickets, and more.
↳ Tap + → Templates
Browse by category and tap one to drop it on your slide, then tap its empty photo slot to fill it with your picture. Designs you save yourself appear under My Templates.
Stickers
Cameras, tape, pins, and hundreds more.
↳ Tap + → Stickers
Search or browse by category and tap to place. With a sticker selected, its bar offers effects — a shadow, a glow, or an outline.
Photo frames
Shaped windows for your pictures.
↳ Tap + → Frames
A frame is a shaped window — a circle, heart, star, and more. Add one, then tap its empty middle to put a photo inside. Device frames (phone and laptop shells) put your photo on the device's screen.
Photo layouts
Grids, rows, columns, and circles.
↳ Tap + → Layouts
A layout holds several photos at once — 2×1, 3×3, circles, and more. Add one, then tap each empty cell to fill it.
Shapes
114 crisp shapes, any colour.
↳ Tap + → Shapes
Squares, stars, arrows, callouts, banners — tap to add one, then use Style in its bar to change the fill, outline, and corner roundness.
Text boxes & ready-made cards
Meme cards, tier lists, sticky notes…
↳ Tap + → Text Boxes
The Templates tab has one-tap card designs (Meme Card, Tier List and friends); Chat, Comic, Labels, and Plain hold speech bubbles, captions, tags, and boxes. Tap one and type.
Fake chat conversations
Build a message thread, bubble by bubble.
↳ Tap + → Text Boxes → Chat
Pick a chat style, then type messages as Me or Them — with timestamps, read receipts, and reactions. You can even replay the conversation as an animated video from the Share menu.
Slide backgrounds
A colour, a texture, or your own pattern.
↳ Tap + → Backgrounds
Colour picks any shade, Designs has ready-made textures, and Custom tiles one of your own images into a pattern. Apply to all slides or just this one, and save backgrounds you like.
Draw with your finger
Freehand, on a pad or right on the slide.
↳ Tap + → Draw
Full-Screen Editor opens a big drawing pad; Draw on Canvas lets you sketch directly over your slide. Either way your strokes land on the slide as a picture you can move and resize.
Recent photos
Pictures you've used, one tap away.
↳ Tap + → Photos
Every photo you bring in shows up here for quick reuse. Long-press one to remove it from Recents.
Favourites & hiding things
Curate the catalog to your taste.
↳ The heart on any item in the Add panel
Tap the heart on any item to favourite it — your favourites live behind the Favourites tile and a long-press on +. Long-press an item or category to hide it; bring anything back from ☰ menu → Hidden items.
Working with photos
Tap a photo once and its tools appear at the bottom.
The photo tools, button by button
They appear when a photo is selected.
Tap any photo once and its tools slide in above the toolbar. Tap an empty spot to put them away:
Crop
Trim the photo or straighten its horizon.
Fade
Make it see-through — all over or in places.
Grading
Filters and colour adjustments.
Effects
Shadow, outline, rounded corners.
Frames
Cut a custom hole through the photo.
More (⋯)
Every other photo action — see the tasks below.
Delete
Remove the photo from the slide.
Crop or straighten a photo
Trim it, or level a crooked horizon.
↳ Tap your photo → Crop
Drag the corners to trim, or pick a fixed shape like 1:1. Auto suggests a crop around your subject; Straighten levels the photo in one tap. Apply saves it.
Filters & colour
One-tap looks, or fine control.
↳ Tap your photo → Grading
The Filters tab has ready-made looks — tap one to try it. The Colour Grading tab has sliders for warmth, exposure, and more. Auto suggests a balance, and you can save your own look as a filter.
Shadow, outline & corners
Give a photo some polish.
↳ Tap your photo → Effects
Effects adds a soft shadow behind the photo, a coloured outline around it, or rounded corners — each with its own slider.
Fade a photo
See-through, all over or in places.
↳ Tap your photo → Fade
Layer fades the whole photo evenly. Brush lets you paint the fade where you want it. Area fades a rectangle. The wand fades the background away from your subject automatically.
Cut a hole through a photo
Draw your own window.
↳ Tap your photo → Frames
Paint with your finger (Brush) or drag a rectangle (Area) to cut through the photo, showing whatever is behind it. Reset clears your drawing; Done keeps it.
Cut out the background
Keep the subject, lose the rest.
↳ Tap your photo → ⋯ → Remove background
Krevez finds the person or object in your photo and removes everything behind them — great for clean, poster-style slides. You can undo it.
Turn a subject into a sticker
A cut-out you can reuse.
↳ Tap your photo → ⋯ → Make sticker from subject
This copies your photo's subject as a separate cut-out sticker you can move, resize, and layer like anything else.
Swap a photo for another
Keep the layout, change the picture.
↳ Tap your photo → ⋯ → Replace photo
Replace keeps the photo's size, position, and effects — only the picture changes. Perfect for reusing a slide you like.
Crop a photo into a shape
Hearts, stars, clouds and more.
↳ Tap your photo → ⋯ → Shape Frames
Shape Frames cuts your photo into a silhouette — pick a shape, then move and resize it on the photo before you commit.
Draw a frame around the subject
An automatic highlight box.
↳ Tap your photo → ⋯ → Frame the subject
Frame the subject draws a neat box hugging the main person or object in your photo — a quick way to make them stand out.
Adding words
Tap your text once and its tools appear at the bottom.
The text tools, button by button
They appear when text is selected.
↳ Tap the Text button in the toolbar
Tap Text to add words, or tap existing text once to select it. Its tools slide in above the toolbar:
Font
Pick a typeface — everyday, decorative, or your own.
Size & Color
Size, colour, thickness, and styling.
Effects
Bend the text, or make the letters see-through.
Fade
Make the text see-through.
More (⋯)
Translate, text boxes, and every other action.
Delete
Remove the text from the slide.
Change the font
Normal, decorative, or your own.
↳ Tap your text → Font
Normal Text is everyday fonts. Creative Text is decorative lettering — neon, chalk, bubble and more. My Text is fonts you've added yourself. Search works across all of them.
Size, colour & thickness
Make it bigger, bolder, brighter.
↳ Tap your text → Size & Color
Drag the size slider, pick a solid colour or a colourful preset — and save your own brand colours as reusable swatches. Set the thickness from Thin to Heavy; italic, underline, strike, and auto-fit live here too.
Bend text, or make it see-through
Arcs, rings, and your own curves.
↳ Tap your text → Effects
Curve bends your words along an arc or a full ring — or pick Custom and draw any line you like; the letters follow it, and bends you save are kept for reuse. Cutout makes the letters transparent, so the photo behind shows through them.
Translate your text
Built-in, on-device translation.
↳ Tap your text → ⋯ → Translate
Opens Apple's translation panel for the selected text — pick a language and replace your words with the translation.
Put text in a bubble or box
Chat bubbles, sticky notes, neon signs…
↳ Tap your text → ⋯ → Text box
Text box wraps your words in a decorative container — a speech bubble, a sticky note, a price tag, and more. Pick a style, or None to remove it.
Warp a text box's corners
Skew it for a hand-placed look.
↳ Tap your text → ⋯ → Warp corners
With Warp corners on, drag any corner of the text box to tilt and stretch it — like a label photographed at an angle. Reset box shape puts it back.
Use your own fonts
Bring up to 25 typefaces.
↳ ☰ menu → Custom fonts
Import .ttf, .otf, or .ttc files from the Files app — they appear under My Text in the font picker. You're responsible for the fonts' own licensing.
Your slides
Adding pages, changing the shape, starting over.
See and manage your slides
Add, jump, reorder.
↳ Tap the Slides button, right end of the toolbar
The panel shows every slide in order. Tap one to jump to it, tap + to add another, or drag to reorder. The 4:5 chip changes your carousel's shape — square, portrait, wide, or a custom size you type in.
One photo across several frames
The "peephole" trick.
↳ Press and hold a frame or layout → Merge frames
Hold down a frame, layout, or template and choose Merge frames, then tap the others to include and hit Merge — one photo now shows through all of them like a window. Select the merged group and tap Unmerge to undo it.
Start over
Clear one slide, or everything.
↳ ☰ menu → Erase canvas
Erase canvas asks whether to clear just this slide or every slide. It always asks first — and Undo can bring things back.
Finishing & sharing
Getting your carousel out of the app.
Preview before you post
See it like your audience will.
↳ Tap Preview (▶) in the top bar
Preview shows your carousel full-screen — swipe through the slides exactly as people will on social media. Done brings you back to editing.
Record your canvas as you build
A making-of video for reels.
↳ Tap Record (the red dot) in the top bar
The red Record button captures your slide while you edit it. Stop when you're done, pick playback speeds per section, and save the video — the slide's zoom locks itself while recording so the shot stays steady.
Export your carousel
Images, a video, or a project file.
↳ Tap Share, top-right corner
Images saves every slide as pictures, ready to post. Video turns them into a slideshow clip. Project File packages the whole project so a friend can open it in Krevez.
JPEG or HEIC?
Compatibility vs. file size.
↳ ☰ menu → Export format
JPEG opens everywhere — the safe choice. HEIC makes smaller files that modern iPhones and Macs read happily. If unsure, stay on JPEG.
Save a design to reuse
Your layout, again and again.
↳ ☰ menu → Save as Template
Save as Template keeps this project's whole design in your Templates, so next time you start from it instead of a blank page.
Turn slides into a video
A ready-to-post slideshow.
↳ ☰ menu → Export as Video
Export as Video renders your slides into one clip with gentle cross-fades — a few seconds per slide, saved wherever you choose.
Back at your projects
The home screen where every carousel lives.
The Projects screen
Create, search, reopen.
Every carousel you make is saved here automatically — and with iCloud on, it follows you to your other devices. Tap one to keep working, search by name, tap Create for a new one, or use the import button to open a Krevez project file someone sent you.
Name it — or don't
Blank is fine.
Name your project when you create it, or leave the field blank and Krevez names it for you. Rename anytime by long-pressing the project.
Sort projects into folders
A series, a client, a theme.
Create a folder, then file projects into it. The filter above your library switches between All Projects, Unfiled, and each folder.
Move or delete several at once
Batch tidy-up.
↳ Projects screen → Select
Tap Select, check off the projects, then use the folder button to move them or the bin to delete them together.
Make it yours
Optional helpers and your account.
The ☰ menu
Settings and extras, one tap away.
↳ Tap Menu (☰) in the top bar
Your account, canvas options, exports, and app settings all live here — including the switches for the optional on-canvas helpers below.
Quick Tools — your shortcuts
A floating button of favourites.
↳ ☰ menu → Quick Tools
Star up to 8 tools you use most, and a floating gold button keeps them one tap away. It shows only tools that fit whatever you've selected, and you can drag it anywhere.
The Favourites star
Your favourite designs, floating.
↳ ☰ menu → Favourites star
A draggable gold star that opens templates, stickers, and photos you've marked as favourites. Turn it on in the ☰ menu — or long-press + in the toolbar for the same list.
Choose your own toolbar
Pick the tools you actually use.
↳ Tap an item → ⋯ → Customize Toolbar
With a photo or text selected, open ⋯ and tap Customize Toolbar to choose which tools sit in the bar — up to five for photos, four for text. Anything you switch off stays reachable under ⋯.
What's free, what's Pro
The crown badges explained.
↳ ☰ menu → Upgrade to Pro
Free gives you the first designs in every category and a daily export allowance. Items with a crown badge, and unlimited exports, come with Krevez Pro — monthly, annual, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Manage it anytime in ☰ menu → Account & Subscription.
